Poetry

Poems are the expression of thought,
Some are about battles fought.
Some about the love we have,
Some about a page and a half.
Poetry can be beauty,
It can be gross,
It can be about black burnt toast.
It can be scary,
It can give a shock,
It can be about a deafening knock.
It may be sad,
It may be true,
Maybe it could be about you.
Poetry is writing at its very best,
Totally above the rest.
An expression of feelings,
An expression of pain,
An excellent description of the rain.
It will be a cold day in hell,
when I can't write poetry well!
